1. Introduction

We’re a trusted advisor with a nonpartisan approach. Evidence-based policies provide that foundation for a low emission economy.

ClimateWorks provides independent research, analysis and recommendations to inform policy. We explore the costs and benefits of different climate solutions and provide advice on the options available for achieving net zero.

What we’re doing

There is a global push to limit warming well under 20C with a goal of 1.50C, spurred by the Paris Agreement. This world will look vastly different to our own. But the solutions to help us get there present economic, social and environmental opportunities. Business, policy and social drivers are all needed to keep global temperature rise below targets, and to capitalise on the opportunities that come with climate solutions.

Our research provides a holistic view of the risks and opportunities climate solutions present. We use this independent research to advise policymakers on pathways available. We analyse current policy and map out trajectories that show how we are tracking. Our ultimate goal is embedding a 1.50C goal in government policy. Our research shows that net zero is achievable and a must.
