Amandine Denis-Ryan

Head of National Programs

Amandine oversees ClimateWorks’ national programs, which include helping governments and businesses develop pathways and strategies for net zero emissions, unblocking barriers to implementation across all sectors of the economy and building capacity in current and future leaders to support the transition.

Prior to this, Amandine oversaw research and analysis across the breadth of ClimateWorks’ projects. She coordinated modelling work from CSIRO, ANU and ClimateWorks for the ‘Pathways to Deep Decarbonisation in 2050’ project and headed the analysis behind the ‘Tracking Progress’ report series, the first national stocktake of Australia’s progress towards a low carbon economy.

Amandine also has extensive expertise in the industrial sector. She led the ‘Industrial Energy Efficiency Data Analysis’ project that created a detailed knowledge base regarding energy use, energy savings potential and factors impeding implementation for Australia’s industrial companies, and led analyses on the financial value of energy efficiency for industrial companies.

Prior to joining ClimateWorks, Amandine worked as a management consultant for McKinsey and Company in Sydney, advising clients across both public and private sectors, on a wide range of matters including strategy, sustainability issues and carbon abatement opportunities and associated policies.

Amandine holds an MBA, as well as a MSc. from Ecole Polytechnique (France) and a MSc. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.).
