Claire Connell

Senior Adviser Systems Change (Collaboration and Learning)

Claire is an expert adviser in the System Change & Capabilities team. Claire supports our system and country teams with collaborative learning, facilitation, program and experience design. She also oversees the development of system change capabilities within ClimateWorks practice and culture, focussing on collaboration and learning.

Claire specialises in the design and delivery of groups working together to achieve outcomes. Previously applying these skills as a volunteer manager and recruitment specialist, she now looks to solve complex, chaotic problems.

The Natural Capital Summit of 2019, which Claire designed and delivered, is an example of these system change efforts. One hundred and fifty sector leaders came together for two days of collaboration, developing projects to shift Australia’s food and land use system and guide the Natural Capital Roadmap.

Claire has a Bachelor of Business from Swinburne University. She is currently undertaking the GroupWork Centre’s Advanced Facilitation course and was a Fellow in the Centre for Sustainability Leadership’s Future Makers Fellowship in 2018.
