Dr. Emi Gui
Senior Project Manager
Emi works in the ClimateWorks’ International team, focusing on initiatives in the decarbonisation of energy systems and electricity sector transitions.
Emi joins ClimateWorks with over ten years experience in energy consulting and research, including policy design, the electricity market, energy infrastructure planning, and renewable energy market research. Previously, Emi worked as an energy market specialist for a number of energy companies in Australia, Asia-Pacific and Europe, including Australian Energy Market Operator, utilities, energy trading houses, and consultancies. Through research work with universities, Emi has published journal papers, conference papers and a book chapter on interdisciplinary topics, addressing socio-economic aspects of distributed energy infrastructure, community energy, and consumer-centric service innovations in the utility sector, facilitating community and private sector participation in the low-carbon energy transition. She is also an active reviewer for several international journals.
Emi has a PhD in Energy Policy and Energy Economics from the University of New South Wales. She also holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School in Australia and a Master of Engineering from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
