Jay bolsters the analytical capability of the National Programs team, contributing to a range of projects with government and industry.
He holds a Master of Geography and Bachelor of Environments from The University of Melbourne, and brings analytical experience from his research background. This includes a two-year research project in palaeoclimatology where he synthesised new climate records from Southern Australasia to explore the region’s response to rapid global climate change. Beyond this, Jay’s academic background and interests include environmental engineering, science communication and human geography (including the impacts of climate change adaptation and mitigation) with a focus on Australia and Timor-Leste.
Prior to joining ClimateWorks, he worked in professional and research assistance roles across several faculties and departments of The University of Melbourne.
